Immerse yourself in the peaceful rural environment of Braeside by wandering on your choice of well cared for garden paths. It's a great way to enjoy the vast formal, exotic and native gardens and an ideal form of exercise.
Build a camp fire by the old slab hut and savour the aroma as you roast in the camp oven or barbeque by the creek.
Feed the geese and black faced sheep or if you are staying in the Homestead enjoy a hit of tennis.
The Gardens
Braeside Homestead is set in twelve lush acres of private garden, having been designed and nurtured from the original gardens and inspired by former gardeners and historic photographs. The expansive grounds include an exquisite scented rose garden, formal lawns, free form native and exotic gardens and the wonderful old fashioned potager garden. The Homestead Potager Garden combines the functional nature of the English kitchen garden with the style and grace of French fashion; a wonderful source of vegetables for guests during their stay.
Experience the change of seasons from the circular terrace overlooking the park as the many deciduous trees and shrubs turn from lush green to dark crimson and the liquid ambers flush with autumn colour.
Enjoy the wonderful English cottage garden inspired surrounds of the Braeside Cottage – a delight to please your senses.
